ÉCHOS GRAPHITE

My first exhibition Graphite Echoes (Échos Graphite) consists of drawings created in pencil during November 2023. All the works were conceived especially for Gabriel Chirouze’s poetry book Fabulous Itches ( Fabuleuses Démangeaisons ). The name evokes three of the concepts linked to this exhibition: poetry, the material used, and the birth of this new adventure for me.

Here, I explore themes that move me, such as nature, femininity, mental health, and the innocence of childhood, all presented with notes of surrealism and melancholy. Perhaps even in works such as « Marées » and « Après les moutons » you may find influences of Walt Disney, one of the first figures who inspired me in my artistic development.

Graphite pencil was a natural choice because, far from being simple to handle, it is a tool we all know from a very young age. I hope that in seeing these works, the viewer may rediscover their inner child and observe the world through my eyes.
